I Drove a Formula 1 Car: Living the Dream in a Renault F1

LEARN MORE ABOUT FORMULA 1 DRIVING: www.edmunds.com Tease the throttle and feel the V10 take a slurp of air as the revs rise from their idle at 6000 rpm. The noise is angry, urgent, brutal and yet majestic. The vibration shivers the carbon-fiber tub in which I’m sitting and then scurries down my spine. Concentrate. Think. Extend a right digit as you grip the steering wheel; give the right shift paddle a flick to engage a cog. It’s like learning to drive all over again. Heart pumping, I ease out the clutch, feeling for the biting point, anticipating the first sign of forward motion, wanting it so badly. The wheels start to move, the clutch is out and the engine is still alive! I let out a high-pitched yelp of delight that’s uncomfortably girly. I am living the dream; I am driving a Formula 1 car.

lol a formula one car? you must be having a laugh, thats a Formula Renault car which hasnt even got half the power of a proper f1 car, the only deceptive thing is that the formula renault car featured has the F1 Renault livery, thats all.

its cheap actually….if you have 75000 pounds you can try your self in a 1998 ( yes thats the real one folks! ) F1 car (driven by renualt’s jin carlo fishicella(sp?) )….but the ing team only has 2 F1 cars….if you don’t get the 1998 one then you get the 1994 one….( looks kinda old but just as fast…)

you get all this for 1 day!!! hence the umbrella girl and stuff….

it’s really a F1. When you have a lot of money go to france and you can drive it!!
But it looks silly cause the driver is very big, listen to what he said and you will hear saying something like: actually i’m to big for this car.
And the sound. NO normal human CAN push the trottle full open cause of fear, you think the pedal is at the botom but that’s the adrenaline, it’s just half trottle most of the times.
